Why Actions Speak Louder Than Words

Leaders need to be aware that our words should always match our actions. When it is not matching then we are not being an effective leader for our team. Our team observe us and learn from us and we are the role model for them.

When they see the leader being inconsistent it makes the way for underperformance to begin, that's why leaders lead with action. Action shows that it is important to follow through and that principles are important to be followed.

In my training sessions I talk about how leaders should be consistent with how they lead the team and one of the best ways to lead the team is through action. Talking is easy but end of the day, what matters is, are your words aligned with your action or not.

If it is not in aligment, you need to look at what is causing that inconsistency and how you can overcome them. Sometimes, all it requires is personal self development and a bit of discipline to help us become consistent again.

So today, evaluate yourself with how you are leading your team because remember "action speaks louder than words"!
