Reframing Rejection

One of the best ways to reframe a rejection is to focus on that one yes that could change everything for you.
If you are someone who is doing cold calling or cold emailings, you will come across “no’s” many times. In order to persevere you have to remind yourself that, how a one “yes” changes everything for you.
In the movie “pursuit of happyness” Will Smith plays the role of Chris Gardner. Chris Gardner had a change of career and at one time, he found himself making cold calls. He was doing all that with a son to look after.
He was determined to succeed with his new career. Of course making a sale with cold calling isn’t easy however he preserved and he landed on one sale which changed the trajectory of his life.
That one “yes” helped him to build a better life for his son. You never know when your “yes” will come but if you give up most certainly that “yes” will never come.
But if you preserve it is most certain that, that “yes” will come! The important thing is to keep trying. The principle of persevering and not giving up is applicable in all areas of our life.
I once heard Zig Ziglar saying these words “one of the hardest decisions in life will be either to try harder or to give up on something” this is something that each one of us have to decide.
But also remember giving up on a dream is easy, giving up on a business is easy or even a relationship but anything worthwhile in life requires persistence, determination and preservation. Successful people remind us time and time again, that’s how they achieved success!
